Rachel McAdams Confirmed for a Cameo in Sherlock Holmes Sequel

With “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” Noomi Rapace taking over the female lead in Guy Ritchie’s “Sherlock Holmes” sequel, what’s become of the deliciously criminal and comely Irene Adler as played by Rachel McAdams? She’s still around according to EW, who confirms with Warner Bros. that McAdams will indeed appear in the sequel, though only for a brief cameo.

Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law return as Sherlock Holmes and his trusty sidekick Watson, respectively, with Jared Harris playing Holmes’ arch nemesis Moriarty.

“Sherlock Holmes 2″ proves its all elementary my dear all over again this Christmas, December 16, 2011.

If it’s anything like the first, I won’t be rushing out to see it…even with McAdams having a cameo. Haha I almost typed Camaro with an E. It’s cool because I’m from London Ontario where she’s from but I couldn’t see anything besides mediocre in the first movie. Guy Ritchie stuff I guess…that’s not a bash on him.
