Tony Gilroy’s Matt Damon-less “Bourne Legacy” may be adding Rachel Weisz to its cast, joining leading man Jeremy Renner, who has been groomed as the franchise’s new star.
Word is, Weisz is “in talks” to board “Legacy” for Gilroy and Universal, which is scheduled to start shooting sometime in September. This is in addition to a previous report that had Weisz also in talks for Sam Raimi’s “Oz The Great and Powerful” to play one-half of the movie’s villainous wicked witches, the other being filled by Mila Kunis.
In “Legacy”, Renner would play “a new character: an operative from a covert government program that is even more dangerous than the Treadstone brainwashing program that hatched Bourne.”
