I travel the world and have no issues telling anyone that I am an American. I have served my country in combat as well. Does that make me a murderer or a pawn in someone else’s game? I don’t think so. I was in the First Gulf War. I fought besides Jews and Gentiles alike. Muslims from many countries bordering Iraq were my comrades in arms. As to my country and it’s issues, I work with many immigrants in my line of work and I can tell you that I have yet to hear a single immigrant tell me they want to go home. Not a single one. If life is sooo much better in their native countries, then why do they want to live here? To give you an idea, I am friends with immigrants from Ireland, England, India, Germany, Egypt, Russia, France, Mexico, Brazil, Jamaca, Thailand, and the Netherlands. So basically a broad range of cultural and economic situations and yet, none want to go home.

The United States is not perfect and neither is any other country on this planet. So instead of using this forum to ramble on your hatred of the U.S., how about you use it for it’s intended purpose and critique the film.

As for me, I have not seen the film yet, but hope to when it comes out for purchase.

WTF! America has more problems than any other country BECAUSE it can’t stop going to war, not because it’s AT war.

Stop bombing other countries and stop supporting Israel and your problems would go away!

The world hates America, even other western countries – America and it’s gun-ho attitude much like your CAPITAL LETTERS LITTLE RIP to us all shows perfectly.

This is one of my all-time favorite movies. Even the trailer gives me chills. I saw it last summer in Canada and have had a hard time finding it here in the states. To me, what the movie is about is not only cruelty to animals but cruelty to man-kind. By killing Red, that boy came as close to killing Avery as he thought he could get away with. It’s about one human’s cold-blooded attempt to kill another human’s soul. There was not one second that I was not on Avery’s side! Not just for the sake of the dog [and I am dog lover!], but for the sake of Avery’s dignity, self respect and right to be left the Hell alone.

I really loved this movie. I had a hell of a time finding it though. I really hated the older boy. I have to say that I felt sorry for the younger of the two (Harold). I think the man probably should have listened to “Harold” when he said “You just don’t get it”. The whole cast was just awesome. Great movie!!!

I would rather say that these brave soldiers endanger their lives so these who will never send their sons to war ( who can afford to pay for their kids education – unlike these “hero” soldier’s parents)-can sleep secure ,that their highly corruptive lifestyles can flourish.Not once has US , after WWII done anything it can be proud of .If Yur country does so much good , why is it no longer safe to admit abroad that You’re an American. Sleep well , mu puky friend.

Great movie , shows clearly what american culture is about , guns and power.A troubled kid runs loose in a car bought by a “caring” daddy, buys a shotgun without a problem and shoots a dog for fun.Such kids often become GI’s and marines , freedom deliverers made in USA .Sick country , sick culture !

This is one of the best films i have seen in years, It gripped me from start to finish, Brian cox delievered a power punch performance,This film egts my recommendation. If your unsure as to buy this film or not buy it! you will not be dissapointed.

i guess you don’t have a dog?

I wouldn’t say those kids and their fathers are evil, if they ever did something like that to my dog,

i will not kill a single one of them, i will torture them one by one not just the kid who did it also their loser family, day by day, death is too easy for them. hatred is wrong, but sometimes that’s all you got left.

This movie is so awesome!!!It kinda reminds of “Death Sentence” just with a different twist…so gonna buy it.
