So apparently the talking teddy bear in Seth MacFarlane’s “Ted” is real. You know, like Stewie can talk and plot to murder his mother in “Family Guy”. I think. Okay, I’m pretty sure Ted is alive in “Ted” and that everyone can see and communicate with him. I mean, at one point he’s seen working at a grocery store and giving blowjob motions to a fellow cashier. I could be wrong, of course. In any case, MacFarlane has released the first trailer for his live-action comedy (he also provides the voice of Ted, by the by), and it was probably a wise move to hit the kids with a 3-minute Red Band version. What else would you expect from MacFarlane?
Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane brings his boundary-pushing brand of humor to the big screen for the first time as writer, director and voice star of Ted. In the live action/CG-animated comedy, he tells the story of John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg), a grown man who must deal with the cherished teddy bear who came to life as the result of a childhood wish…and has refused to leave his side ever since.
“Ted” stars Mila Kunis, Mark Wahlberg, Giovanni Ribisi, Patrick Warburton, Seth MacFarlane, Joel McHale, Jessica Stroup, Laura Vandervoort, Melissa Ordway, and is directed by MacFarlane.
The tedpocalypse begins July 13, 2012.
