Red Dawn Remake Set Videos and Pics go Boom!!
Red Dawn (Remake 2010) Movie, Videos — By Nix on September 15, 2009The Hollywood boys are currently in Mount Clemens, Michigan trying to blow the place up in the service of remaking the ’80s movie “Red Dawn”, and courtesy of RedDawn2010.com, we have videos and set pics from the shoot. I have to admit, I was expecting more rural areas like the 1984 original, but the exteriors look pretty suburban to me.
The remake will star Chris Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Isabel Lucas, Connor Cruise, Josh Peck, Adrianne Palicki, and is being directed by former “Bourne” guy Dan Bradley. The invasion is scheduled for September 24, 2010.

Did the writers strike a couple of years ago effectively kill off all the actual talent in video production. Transformers 1 and 2, Red Dawn, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Willy Wonka, Alice in Wonderland, Miami Vice, GI Joe, The A Team, etc. etc. I like the reimaginings of childhood as much as the next guy, but c’mon, leave a little something to memory or dvd. Anew story isn’t that hard, really, and if you can’t think of a new idea, go for books and comics, amazing things that weren’t alreay put in to film and video. Break away from the box every once and again and go to the freakin’ library, you’re a WRITER after all.
Another remake? This is another sign of a culture that’s evaporating. I had no idea that recycling applied to movies as well… Recipe for success ; Classic Movie + New Teen Star + Special Effects = Crappy Movie that makes millions. I bet a million dollars it will star one of the kids from Twilight or New Moon. There is now a live action Barbie movie in the works. Next we will remake Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake. Unreal. These are sad times. I bet Airwolf and Streethawk will be coming down the remake tunnel soon.
whatever dude … I’m am stoked to see a re-make of only the most awesome communist-blowing-up, RPG’s through freakin’ helicopter cargos doors, AK-47’s pointed to the sky in triumph, held by an american kid from the 80’s with awesome headbands, screaming, “WOLVERINES!!!!!!!” before the inevitable bullet flies towards him, movies of all time.
HELL YES – bring it back.
And I would TOTALLY see an Airwolf remake with stingfellow hawk and a helicopter takeoff and land inside a volcano.
You guys are crazy! The world needs this.

WHY is what I want to know….WHY is hollywood that desperate they cant write there own stuff they have to remake everything…LONG live the ORIGINAL red dawn it help launch SO many carreers of so many stars and no matter how long ago it was or cheesey it may be it was a great flick for the time it was made
