Black Films has an exclusive interview with Boris Kodjoe, who revealed on his Twitter page recently that he had been cast in “Resident Evil: Afterlife”. As well as discussing his role as a survivor who is found in an LA jail, Kodjoe also reveals that Prison Break’s Wentworth Miller has been added to the cast, and Ali Larter will return as Claire Redfield. It has already been confirmed that Milla Jovovich will reprise her role as Alice.
Here is an excerpt from the interview:
Were you a fan of the franchise?
Boris Kodjoe: Yeah I saw the first one which I thought was interesting. I really adore and respect her, and also Paul W.S Anderson, who is the director. He’s married to her, and he’s a tremendous visionary, he’s got all these great ideas. What I like most about him is that he’s so excited about what he does. He really loves his job. That always goes a long way, because when you go to work with a smile on your face the outcome can only be positive. I love working with people who like what they do. He’s definitely one of those guys. He led me around the studio when I was out there to meet with them. He’s got it all worked out. He’s working with them making new cameras that James Cameron’s partner developed for “Avatar”. All this stuff plays into this movie making it an experience I’m looking forward to.
Shooting will begin next month in Toronto under the direction of Paul W.S. Anderson for a 2010 release date.
