Resident Evil Afterlife Will be About Zombies and Stuff

Sony Screen Gems has released the official cast list and plot synopsis for the upcoming “Resident Evil: Afterlife” (via Dread Central), the fourth entry in the undead franchise, and guess what? It’ll star Alice (Milla Jovovich) and have zombies in it. Whatever will they think of next?
In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead leads them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap.
Wentworth Miller of “Prison Break” fame, Norman Yeung and Kacey Barnfield will be joining returning castmembers Jovovich, Ali Larter, and Spencer Locke. Miller will play Chris Redfield, the brother of Larter’s Claire character, and a member of the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo team. Shawn Roberts will play Albert Wesker, a rogue company man with powers that rival Alice’s.
Paul W.S. Anderson returns to direct the first 3D installment in the franchise, which is set for a August 27, 2010 release.

I cannot wait for it so happy to see Wentworth in this movie.I’m sure he’ll be amazing as he always is.Went is a very talented & handsome actor & deserves best roles.I wish for him & the rest of the cast best of luck
If this turns out anything like the Extinction stinkburger, I don’t see any more of the RE movies hitting theaters. I mean seriously, Extinction stunk on ice, yet they’re going ahead with a fourth movie. Someone is pulling some huge favors down in Dummywood, CA.

Ali Larter us a bullshit actress. I hater her so much.
I really like wentworth miller, but for him to play chris redfield is a bit awkward for me, he doesnt scream chris redfield when I look at him or see him act. dunno… and ali larter is a pretty crappy actress. Im kind of excited finally for an introudction to wesker hes such a sinister character, but only one can hope that this movie isnt going to bomb. blah. we’ll see i guess.
looking forward to a reinvented resident evil 6 game however.

the only reason i will watch this mess is because they said they will remake after this. they totally screwd the films to death.and why does alice need help she can just use her powers,ohhh never mind i already know what happens wesker has powers like the tyrant in the last film.just remake the films like the first game already we are tired of alice and the crap fest we are being force fed.REMAKE!!!!!!!!!!
So you want rehashed stories and action you’ve already seen or played before? That’s going to be oh so riveting. Especially since half the scene in the movies were taken from, or inspired by the games. The dogs, the helicopter shooting at Jill, etc. Now we’ll just get them in the sam context we saw them in so many years ago. YAY!! I say wipe the slate, take what works from both the games and the movies (Including the current Wii rail shooters) and make a cohesive story that we are familiar with but is still fresh.
i disagree, i believe that the films being different from the game make it highly viewable i mean resident evil online was awsome and none of those characters were main characters of the game. i believe adding Alice makes the movie interesting and Milla Jovovich is great in all her movies.

Who said anything about being tough? LOL “if the movies weren’t good they wouldn’t be making more!” But that’s not the case trully. If they didn’t MAKE MONEY they woudln’t make more. Movie doesn’t have to be good to gain a sequel, just make money. I for one like the movies, the third wasn’t great but it wasn’t the worst I’ve seen. I do think they’re getting away from what makes the storyline fun, as it seems each movie has less zombies in it. Like I said I think if they do reboot it they should incorporate everything and try a new but similar story. That said I can’t wait to see how they finish this set of films off.
