Still waiting for “Resident Evil 4”? It might be Milla, or it might be Ali, but in “Resident Evil: Degeneration”, it’s Lori Rom as Claire Redfield and R.C. Ormond as Leon S. Kennedy. A completely original CG movie from Sony Pictures and Capcom, “Degeneration” picks up 7 years after the events that transpired in Raccoon City (i.e. the zombie infestation) as portrayed in the games. The zombie plague is over — or is it? Not quite, because that sure looks like a zombie that just showed up at an airport for a little snack… But this time the Umbrella Corporation has apparently been put into the ground, so who will save us? Okay, so Umbrella didn’t really save us last time, but they seemed to have a heck of a lot of commandos to fight zombies with, and that’s always a good thing when you’re surrounded by the undead.
Official plot from the Sony site:
The “Umbrella Incident” that took place in Raccoon City was ended with the eradication of the deadly virus by a missile attack ordered by the government. As its operations were suspended on a global scale, Umbrella Corporation stock plummeted. This serious blow to the business giant resulted in its complete dissolution.
7 years later, at an airport somewhere in the United States. An ordinary autumn afternoon. One zombie is unleashed into this peaceful scene to attack everyone. In the airport starting to fill up with the undead, the horrific disaster is about to be repeat itself…
