RIP Randy Macho Man Savage

Used to watch wrestling with my dad when I was a kid, and Randy Savage was one of the mega stars of wrestling “back in the day”. Sorry to hear this, for sure.

TMZ spoke with Randy’s brother, Lanny Poffo, who tells us the wrestling legend suffered a heart attack while he was behind the wheel around 9:25 AM … and lost control of his vehicle.

Earlier this month, Savage celebrated his 1-year anniversary with his new wife Lynn.

Savage was 58.

Macho Man began wrestling in the WWF in 1985 and became a superstar with his trademark catchphrase “Ooooooh Yeaahhhhh.” Savage was so popular, he became the spokesperson for Slim Jim in the mid ’90s … and became virtually synonymous with the brand.

Again, no alcohol, nothing illegal. He just had a heart attack while driving. His wife Lynn was in the car with him, but she only suffered “minor injuries” and is currently in the hospital.

RIP, Macho Man.

R.I.P. Macho Man! You definitely were one of a kind. Oooh YEEEAAAAAH!!!

R.I.P. Macho man. I’ll never forget when you started going by “the Madness” and jumped off a 60 foot cage to land on someone. You missed the guy and went through the ring, but you never gave up on entertaining me as a child. I will always have your Rap CD to celebrate your life and how awesome you were. For those that don’t have the Rap CD, get it. Macho Man kills it. RIP MACHO MAN.

My personal favorite move of his was after exhausting all efforts to beat his opponent he’d storm out of the ring and take the ring bell from the announcer’s table and go after him! Awsome! MEGA POWERS for life!

I’m going to miss The Macho Man so much!. The best of the 80’s and 90’s (together with Hulk and Warrior).

Such an icon has left us. May you rest in peace.
