Rob Liefeld is Really, Really Excited about the Deadpool Movie

Twitter by itself is somewhat retarded, but Twitter with celebrities is great stuff. Reading goofy tweets from celebrities seems to make the whole thing worthwhile, though. Take Rob Liefeld, one of the creators of the Deadpool character (he drew it, but really, Fabian Nicieza was the one who really gave the character his “voice” — or, er, word balloons), who was recently in a meeting on the upcoming “Deadpool” movie set to star Ryan Reynolds.

Here are a series of tweets by Liefeld from that meeting:

Walking into Deadpool movie meeting!!! Yowza!

Great Deadpool movie meeting! Lauren Schuler Donner and her team are headed in the right direction!

Deadpool movie checklist- DP in costume-check! Breaking 4th wall-check! Loads of killing-double check!

Deadpool movie- YES! Ryan Reynolds is on board!!!

Then Liefeld dropped this, which got all the geeks excited:

Also excited to discuss possibilities of Cable in future X-films!!!

Of course, after all the sites ran with that last one about Cable, Rob had to clarify (premature tweeting strikes again):

Clarification, Cable definitely NOT in Deadpool movie, but possible role in future X-films….not First Class.

So there you have it, news on the “Deadpool” movie and the future of “Cable” from the fingers of Rob Liefeld himself.

This is Cable. Contrary to popular belief, he does not get ESPN.
