RoboCop Dances, Shoots, and Battles in Six Clips

Gary Oldman and Joel Kinnaman in RoboCop (2014) Movie Image

Following up on those two new groovy posters that we posted earlier today for José Padilha’s “RoboCop” reboot, check out six fightin’ clips from the upcoming sci-fi actioner, including Robo’s clash against those giant tank shooting things, the ED-209s. Yes, plural. Because this new RoboCop is badass like that.

You know what Robo’s targeting reminds me off? All those sci-fi movies where killer robots can’t shoot for crap. When you have computerized targeting, and a computer can process gazillions of data a second, how do you miss your target? I dunno, but this sci-fi movie conceit always bothered me. But hey, that’s just me.

In RoboCop, the year is 2029 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.

Starring Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, Jay Baruchel, Jennifer Ehle, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste.

Robo does what he do February 12th.

This shit looks AWSOME! I can’t wait to see this flick, the action looks out of this world. I don’t know about character development, or storyline, but who cares the cinematography is super cool. This should be a big hit, and look for a part two in the future.

    • Dedpool

I agree it definitely looks pretty good. Better than what i was hoping. That said this has to get passed all the naysayers and purists touting how it’s blaspehmy to make a remake of the original, etc. As a person who embraces change, and remakes (if done well) I look forward to this.

      • Debo4735

Forget the naysayers if they can’t see that a movie about technology, and the future of law enforcement is better made now in 2014 with all the advancements in cinematography and computer graphics, than in the 90’s. They can just go SUCK IT!

he hit the target Nix! He hit every one of the droids, they just don’t go down in one shot, plus he was dodging. And with the 209’s he definitely was hitting them, his gun is tiny though compared to them lol.

    • Nix

Yah, I know he’s hitting all his targets because he has computerized targeting. I’m saying why can’t robots in OTHER movies hit anything despite their computerized targeting. ;)

      • Dedpool

Lol. Buggy programming. Star Wars battle Droids we’re just badly programmed all around. Lol.

Religion is an ideology just like atheism. All ideologies must be examined at their origin and see how the ideologies have impacted the human condition.

Let’s look at evidence to see which Ideology is truthful
Examine the PROPHECIES of the THE FINAL WARNER toward the day of Judgement Prophet Muhammad.

Examine the truthfulness are they just nostradamus/self fulfilling prophecies OR are they 100% truthful.

For the atheist if you want to know if an unseen reality exists research this analogy at any mosque: Spectroscopy is to Oxygen as Ruqyah is to Jinn species

For the christian how can forgieres lies be placed in the new testament (the adultress, the last 12 verses of mark, johaniane comma) study your religion like your scholars Bart Ehrman, Craig Evans, Dale Martin, Daniel Wallace

Holy Qur’an 43:61 Jesus Ibn Mary peace be upon him will be 2 of 10 major signs toward the day of judgement

It looked like he was doing some of that Gun Kata from the movie Equilibrium. Lol, it was sweet though.

      • Dedpool

Makes sense. Gun Kata was all about mathematical angles and such.

The old Robocop moved like Hermon Munster, very slowly, he was easy to hit. I love the functionality of the 2014 Robocop, he’s quick, agile, and durable. All I need to hear him say is “dead, or alive your coming with me.” Nailed it.

    • Joerg Nezmeskal

Guess thatś because itś CGI thats moving not an actor.

      • Dedpool

Um no, that’s him in the first action clip not cgi.

Looks as shiny and bland as the Totall Recall remake.

    • Dedpool

See I actually liked the Total Recall remake. It didn’t try to be the same movie as the original, which is always a good sign of a remake, but it had enough homages to the original for me, while telling it’s own version of the story. It’s like people doing different versions of the King Arthur myth, or Greek mythology. The stories have similar characters but they are still very different.
