Rosario Dawson is also Unstoppable
Unstoppable (2010) Movie — By Nix on August 19, 2009
It was on, then it was off, then it was on again, only to be off again. And now it’s on again! Well, until it’s off again later, that is. But while “Unstoppable” is still on track (get it? on track? it’s a movie about a runaway train? ahem), Variety reports that the Tony Scott film has added the lovely Rosario Dawson to the cast, joining male leads Denzel Washington and Chris Pine.
The film will star Washington as a veteran train engineer who must team up with his younger replacement (”Star Trek’s” Chris Pine) to stop a runaway train. No word on what role Dawson will play, though I suspect it’s either as the girlfriend of Pine or Washington, or perhaps as a tough but secretly vulnerable heroine who is just as capable as the men, or some such. Dawson was last seen in “Seven Pounds” with Will Smith.
“Unstoppable” will be directed by Tony Scott, brother of Ridley. The film has hit various snags on its way to getting greenlit, from budget problems to star Denzel Washington departing, only to return weeks later. It’ll be the second train movie directed by Scott and starring Washington after the poorly received “The Taking of Pelham 123″ remake.

I live in the area that they are filming this movie. They are filming it from Olean Ny, to Cameron County PA. I watched a bit of the movie being made and will watch more of it being made on Oct. 3rd.
they are filming this literally in my back yard… centre co pa… in milesburg… and they may have a 90 mill budget, but thats no where to be seen on set!! everything is absolute basic.
i LIVE IN BELLAIRE, OHIO AND AM APPALED BY THE WAY THE TRAFFIC IS. IT SAID IN THE PAPER THAT NO ONE WOULD BE KEPY FROM THEIRHOMES….WELL THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE LEFT AT 8 AM TO TAKE MY CHILD TO SCHOOL AND WAS TOLDJUST MOMENTS LATER THAT I COULD NOT RETURN HOME BECAUSE OF THE MOVIE. MY HOME ISN’T EVEN DOWN IN TOWN! I LIVE ON 214! i WAS TOLD TO GO TO THE NORTH END OF TOWN AND TAKE THE HIGHWAY SOUTH TO A DETOUR, THEN TAKE IT TO 149, TO PATTERSON HILL, TO 214 AND COME BACK TOWARDS TOWN TO GO HOME. tHIS FAiled! i got onto the highway okay and then traffic immediately stopped there also! by the time i got home it was 9:57am. Now mind you it is 2 minutes from my driveway to the high school. I was irrate! Luckily my mother had my toddlers, or they would have been stuck at home with a sitter while i tried to get home. To top it all off i tried to call and my cell phone had interference to the point i do not even know if anyone answered the damn phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So much for their promises.
Well, so much for the film crew and city gov keeping the public informed of route closures. I’m sure WTRF would gladly do a traffic segment each night, informing the public which routes would be opened and closed. But that would mean some coordination between the film crew and Bellaire City, and include a 72 hour notice submitted to WTRF for broadcast. Also, coordination of the placement of temporary detour signs might be helpful.
I was raised in Wheeling. Traffic routing is pretty important around these parts.
