Two or so years in the making, “The Haunting in Georgia” have finally arrived, with a slight name change. It is now officially “The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia”. I have no idea how they’re linking the two States other than the fact that the first movie did surprisingly well, and they wanted to make sure people knew this was a sorta sequel to that movie. (Though not really.) The only link seems to be that it’s a horror movie with, you know, ghosts. Hey, makes sense to me. I guess.
Anyways, check out the first trailer for “The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia”. It co-stars Katee Sackhoff of “Battlestar Galactica” fame, though she doesn’t actually play one of the leads.
When Andy Wyrick moves his wife Lisa and daughter Heidi to an historic home in Georgia, they quickly discover they are not the house’s only inhabitants. Joined by Lisa’s free-spirited sister, Joyce, the family soon comes face-to-face with a bone-chilling mystery born of a deranged desire… a haunting secret rising from underground and threatening to bring down anyone in its path.
Also starring Chad Michael Murray, Abigail Spencer, Cicely Tyson, Emily Alyn Lind, Andrea Frankle, Brad James, Lance E. Nichols and directed by Tom Elkins.
Haunting theaters February 1, 2013.
