Russian Big Budget Apocalypse Gets an Official Site, Images

“Well it can’t be any worst than that over-hyped, confusing mess of a movie called ‘Night Watch’, can it?” Is the thought that ran through my head when I spotted this new Russian big-budget action film listed at 24Framespersecond. Then again, I’ve been known to be wrong before. A lot. But anyhoo. The upcoming Russian film has gotten an official site (here), but since it’s in Russian, and Russian writing looks like an essay by someone with dyslexia to me, I can’t make heads or tails of it. The film itself sounds interesting enough, though.

The story concerns four atomic bombs, ready to explode, which have been placed in four large cities around the world. A female Russian secret agent with the code name “˜Beautiful’ is sent to decipher the codes held by three guards spread throughout the world, to defuse the bombs. Vincent plays Louis Devier, a wealthy French banker who intends to explode the bombs.

Directed by Vadim Shmelyov, the films stars Anastasia Zavorotnyuk, Vincent Perez, Vladimir Menshov and Alexei Serebryakov. Producer Sergei Zhigunov has announced that the film will likely be shown in 50 to 55 countries and will be released in cinemas between June and October 2007

This Vincent Perez site has a ton of images from the movie. They also call the film “The Apocalypse Code”, so…
