He’s in X-Force, Cyclop’s Black Ops team, but close enough. Daken in the Second movie? I don’t think so. If they do it should only be a quick cameo, or a short intro to the character. The second movie should really focus on the Silver Samurai connection, and draw from the Miller graphic novel too. I hate to say it but they pretty much cut Deathstirke’s connection to here when they butchered her character in X2. I mean sure they could do like the WOlverine movie and kinda disregard that she appeared the way she did like they did with Sabretooth (One of the few things I loved about the WOlverine film), but thats a coppout. So I say introduce Daken, but don’t go into too much detail, and have it be about Mariko, Silver Samurai, and maybe even throw in some Madripoor characters.

Daken would be a good villian/anti hero for both wolverine and deadpool spinoffs.
Plus the japan saga should introduce the lady death strike origin and it could introduce the silver samurai. Even the winter soilder who kills logan’s wife(daken’s) mom. Over all xen movies wolverine seems like he has no weakness….which is also a good idea to introduce the murmasa blade. I mean how is Logan gonna rock japan without it. As much as the movies differ from the comics, I think theyshould respectfully add these elements.

The movie should tale place after the wolverine spinoff
because if Iu did read the comics his face got disfigured after he aquired logan’s healing factor.
He should have his own spin off then later tie it back in with the wolverine and x men movies. You guys do know deadpools and x men now right!?
Oh and plz if wolverine turns into a three movie epic..plz introduce his son daken
the second movie suppose to be in japan right!?

Perhaps after regenerating he gets dumped in the Hospice, where they remove replace the laser eyes with regular ones, remove the knives, and the teleporting, I guess can sort of be forgotten since he gets a faulty teleporter later (They could just say he was teleporting under the illusion of the teleporter working.)

ok so if they take teh Deadpool movie in teh, after weapon x, direction then its simple. Deadpool was sed to be unfinished, sooo maybe when he “dies” he reatatches his hed with his uber regeneration (since its betr then wolerines) and in the process he loses his ghey cyclops eyes. As 4 his katanas, they could snap off or he could take em out (which would b gnarly) whichevr, and the stictches in his mouth simply bust from the impact of his fall OR he cuts em out. BAM! now u got the good ole Deadpool! Or u could just do a precual type thing.

hey they started the weapon XI before the “bonding process was finished” this leaves writers with a huge opening to explain that the other ridiculous powers have worn off because the process was not finished trust me he will be fine

He didn’t exactly regenerate from just a hand… he was regrown. By Thanos. Who was pissed that he died, since Death and Deadpool have a thing, and Thanos is after Death… Yeah. Only in Deadpool comics.

That said, it seems like there’s three ways they could go.

One is just ignore most/all of the Wolverine movie and do a separate thing. Might be for the best, but the anticontinuity is irritating.

Second way would be to set it afterwards, have him lose most of the powers due to the incomplete bonding/whatever, then go off and do stuff. Seems like it could work… but it wouldn’t have much of his origins, and even if they made the character true to the comics, the backstory wouldn’t be anywhere near the same.

The third way would be to set part, or maybe even most, of the movie in that 6-year gap, show what he did with Weapon X before and during his transformation. This would let them make up/insert stuff with Killbrew or whoever they wanted, and it’d give them a chance to set up more reasons for how he can lose the crazy powers; they’d have half a movie to explain the flaws and effects of the power additions rather than just passing over it with a two-line quip. If they can pull it off, that last one’s my favorite, but it might be tricky to mix the two movies like that.

why doesn’t anyone realize the obvious route the movie will take?

!. Head Reattaches and for reasons the writers come up with hes lost all his powers except regeneration (hopefully he’s lost the wolverine style blades too.

2. Now hes gone completely insane because of everything that has happened to him

3. voila, we have the Deadpool we know and love, scarred and crazy as fuck

actually if you think of all the explosions that happened, it is possible that because he feel into the cooling tower he gets cancer from that, also when have they ever hit a comic charcter dead on? i say let him keep the adimanteim swords, it is clear that Marvel Corp liked it or else it never would have happened in the first place

just a thought but what if his healing powers eventually reject the animantium (or however you spell it) in his body? and i agree with everyone when they talk about deadpool being experimented on and possibly being striped of his laser vision.

WHen did he do that? I remember him regenerating lots but never just from a hand. It would seem to me he’d need at least a brain to function that much. I know his healing factor broke down once and he couldn’t heal for a bit til he got the Hulk’s blood. Is this after the Agent of Weapon X, Funeral for a Freak storyline. After Thanos curses him with eternal life…and is that even still in effect now that Thanos is dead and finaly with Death?

He actually only fell into the cooling tower…no radiation there, but it doesn’t seem like a huge leap of logic that he could get cancer that way.

Sure he can regenerate from just a head, in the comics he did the same, only from just a hand =P

Alpha flight woulda been too much. Most people have no clue who they are and woulda been like wtf? I agree wholeheartedly bout him not killing everyone or at least anyone in his way, at Weapon X. Oh and Emma isn’t European, she’s like Frasier and Niles Crane…stuck up. The accent is fake, she from a wealthy Boston family. The accent just makes her cool, and sometimes cold. Lol. Yeah them being sisters was like, I’m sorry what now?

I was so upset when Logan didn’t kill everyone in that room after he jumped out of that tank. I definitely felt like they patched this movie together. They made Silverfox and Emma Frost sisters. WTF? How is a native american and an blonde hair blue eyed European sisters? I mean, honestly. My only consolation in this flick was finally seeing Gambit although he didn’t have nearly as much screen time as I had hoped. They butchered Deadpool and added too many unecessary elements i.e. mutants not relevant to the Wolverine origin, Heather Hudson as an old woman and then being murdered by Agent Zero, and the total exclusion of Alpha Flight. I pray the sequel that takes place in Japan and possibly Madripoor is done with a little more attention to detail.

He regenerated from just a head? I’ve seen him get it put back on…just recently actually, but not grow a new body from just a head. But yeah i like where you’re going except that’d be ANOTHER origin story. Lets just go with Weapon X fucked him up but didn’t finish the job, the reactor gave him cancer but nixed the other powers except for the healing factor which was the FIRST power he received.

I think we’ll definately get a spin off. I just hope they CORRECT this godawful DP-esque monstrosity so that it never happens again. It wouldn’t be tremendously hard to realign the character with (most) of his true background.

You figure, if he regenerates his body from the head like he does in the comics, you can nix the adamantium. Have all the other “Kewl Powers” wear off because the experiment was incomplete. The healing factor restores his body and then goes into remission so it can reactivate in the “hospice” like it did in the books.

Basically, you can start him where he should be and call the fight with Creed/Logan as the reason he washed out of Weapon X program.

And hey, falling down a nuclear reactor would give anyone cancer…
