Ryan Reynolds Will Probably Star in Safe House, Too

At this point, it’s more like what movie isn’t Ryan Reynolds attaching himself to. Who does this guy think he is, Sam Worthington circa 2009 or something?

The latest big news around the Reynolds household has Ryan “Green Lantern” Reynolds as the frontrunner to star opposite Denzel Washington in the Universal action thriller “Safe House”. The film, based on a script by David Guggenheim with Daniel Espinosa attached to direct, would star Reynolds as the lone survivor of a CIA safe house that comes under attack by bad guys. The CIA agent must team up with the suddenly not-all-that-bad-of-a-guy bad guy he was guarding played by Washington to fight off the even badder guys.

Reynolds has risen to the top of the heap after the studio has considered Tom Hardy, Zac Efron, James McAvoy, Sam Worthington and Shia LaBeouf for the role.

Now all Reynolds has to do is figure out how he’s going to do “Safe House” along with that “Green Lantern” sequel Warner Bros. is already gung ho for, and somehow find time to star in “Deadpool” and “R.I.P.D.” at the same time.

One thing’s for sure: it doesn’t suck to be wanted in Hollywood. Plus, he’s married to Scarlett Johansson. That doesn’t suck, either.
