The Ryuhei Kitamura-directed “No One Lives” has a killer premise: it stars Luke Evans as a serial killer who runs afoul of a bunch of backwoods gang that becomes his next target. Fun times, as they say, ensues. I’ve been keeping an eye on this film for a while, and looks like it’s finally getting a theatrical release this May 10th, 2013 courtesy of Anchor Bay Films.
Also, there’s a Japanese trailer for the film below. Not the best quality, mind you, but it’s better than nothing. I guess it makes sense that the only trailer for the film is a Japanese version, since Kitamura is Japanese, and I suspect this movie was a way easier sell in his native land.
A ruthless criminal gang takes a young couple hostage and goes to ground in an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere. When the captive girl is killed, the tables are unexpectedly turned. The gang finds themselves outsmarted by an urbane and seasoned killer determined to ensure that no one lives.
“No One Lives” also stars Adelaide Clemens, Lee Tergesen, Laura Ramsey, Derek Magyar, Beau Knapp America Olivo, Brodus Clay, and Lindsey Shaw.
