Safe House Clip: No One Puts Denzel in the Trunk

Director Daniel Espinosa and Denzel Washington in Safe House (2012) Movie Image

In “Safe House”, Denzel Washington plays the improbably named Tobin Frost, described as “the most dangerous man alive”, which is a tad hyperbolic. Then again, the evil CIA could just be factoring in Denzel’s awesome ability to go all “man on fire” on people when the situation calls for it. Here’s your first clip from the action film, due out next month. Ryan Reynolds certainly looks like he has his hands full, but the young buck might just be up to the task. Maybe. Too bad he doesn’t seem to have his trusty magic ring with him…

The film finds the two men teaming up after bad guys with machineguns crash their safe house. Thus, the title. I could be wrong, but I suspect that by film’s end they come to appreciate each other and, heck, might even become friends. Birthday gifts and all-night slumber parties are to follow, no doubt.

Also starring Brendan Gleeson, Sam Shepard, Vera Farmiga, Fares Fares, Robert Patrick, Nora Arnezeder, Liam Cunningham, Joel Kinnaman, Ruben Blades and directed by Daniel Espinosa.

Getting dangerous February 10, 2012.

I do want to see this.B ut I don’t think it’s going to end as happy go lucky as you think. that is one way to end. With the CIA truly being evil and Washington’s Frost having gone rogue because of it. The other way would be that Frost trully IS the most dangerous man alive and the CIA want him because of something he knows and is trying to sell. In the end, like hannibal Frost gets away but he”ll now have Reynols character after him.

You’re overthinking this, dude. I was gonna make a joke about his afro being why he’s so dangerous, but I’m not sure if that counts as an afro, since my afro expertise is minimal, so I went with the Man on Fire gag instead.
