Sam Raimi to Produce Monster Zoo

By Nix | March 12, 2008 (9:57 am)

When you can get Sam Raimi involved in your project, it’s a guarantee that the geeks on the interweb will cover it, even if he’s only producing, which is the case here with Douglas TenNapel’s “Monster Zoo”. The comic book hasn’t even been released yet, and Paramount Pictures has already snapped up the film rights to it. Now they’ve brought Raimi in to produce, along with a couple of others, but it isn’t known yet if Raimi will also direct.

From the book’s pre-order listing on Amazon:

Monster Zoo! Monster Zoo tells the story of a young boy who discovers his local zoo may be more frightening than he imagined!

Yeah, sounds like a Raimi movie to me. The cover below:

It’s gotta be a good thing if Sam snapped it up before an official release! Looking forward to the book and the movie!
