Saoirse Ronan Talks About Re-Uniting with Peter Jackson on The Hobbit

Written by Nix March 28, 2011 Posted In » The Hobbit Part 1: An Unexpected Journey (2012) Movie, The Hobbit Part 2: The Desolation of Smaug (2013) Movie

“Hanna” teen killer Saoirse Ronan may or may not be heading off to New Zealand to join Bilbo Baggins and crew on Peter Jackson’s two “The Hobbit” films, but if she has her way, she’d be down there once she’s done with her “Hanna” press tour. The young actress tells the LATimes concerning rumors that she’s already confirmed for a role in the film:

Pete [Jackson] is adding a lot of characters in the film adaption. Hopefully they have a part for me.

Rumor, and IMDB.com, has Ronan playing a female elf warrior name Itaril, but all Ronan would say about her role (if there is one) on “The Hobbit” is:

We’ll just have to figure it all out.

Okay, not much news, but hey, it’s a slow Monday.

Ronan previously starred in Peter Jackson’s “The Lovely Bones”, so this would be a reunion for them.
