Saw 5 Cast and Plot Revealed

“Saw 5: Even Sawier Than Usual!” Or maybe not. Hey, that would have been a better title, at least it would signal that the filmmakers behind the neverending Halloween franchise knows that they’re not doing anything artistic and that at this point it’s all about squeezing as much blood out of the horror freaks as possible. In any case, Lionsgate has released a proper plot synopsis for the film, as well as a cast.

The studio says that in the fifth installment, Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) is seemingly the last person alive to carry on the Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) legacy. But when his secret is threatened, Hoffman must go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends.

The full cast also includes Scott Petterson, Betsy Russell, Mark Rolston, Carlo Rota, Julie Benz, Greg Bryk, Laura Gordon and Meagan Good. David Hackl is directing the horror-thriller from a script by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan.
