Scarlett Johansson is a woman on a mission in Luc Besson’s “Lucy.” That mission? Apparently it’s to walk around looking scared, then badass, but always hot. Because, well, it’s Scarlett Johansson, after all. Check out four clips from the upcoming action movie. The best part about this film for me is seeing South Korean actor Choi Min-sik (“Oldboy” and a ton of other awesome movies) playing a bad guy in an English-language movie.
Like all of Besson’s recent output, it’s imperative you shut your brain down at the door. During the movie. Then later, after the movie. If you spend even a second or two thinking about the film’s plot, let’s face it, you’re in trouble.
From La Femme Nikita and The Professional to The Fifth Element, writer/director Luc Besson has created some of the toughest, most memorable female action heroes in cinematic history. Now, Besson directs Scarlett Johansson in Lucy, an action-thriller that tracks a woman accidentally caught in a dark deal who turns the tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic.
