Sci Fi Actioner Dominion Gets a Writer

I love me a good action/science fiction movie. Heck, I consider James Cameron’s “Aliens” to be one of my favorite movies of all time, and any movie that can be that good (or half that good) is something I’m looking forward to. The Hollywood Reporter might have that movie for me: “Dominion”, about a human who is chosen to command the army’s first-ever platoon of robotic soldiers. I’m guessing the robots go nuts and rebel and whatnot. Or maybe not. I just hope it works out better than that whole Skynet fiasco. Former Disney exce Nina Jacobson is producing the film, with Ben Ripley assigned to write the script.
Ripley, who I have never heard of, seems to be in high demand.
Ripley became an in-demand writer when his high-concept sci-fi time-travel spec “Source Code” sold to Universal Pictures, with Mark Gordon producing. He has several additional projects in development, including the supernatural horror screenplay “WXYZ” at Warner Bros. Pictures.
Robot army? I hope it’s better than “I, Robot”. Hey, isn’t that one getting a sequel…?

Ben Ripley’s writing credit on IMDB is not very reassuring, although I guess you gotta start somewhere =\
I like his name. It reminds me of Ellen Ripley from “Aliens”.
