From our sci-fi site SciFiCool.com, here are some new, recently released trailers that may be of interest to you. That is, if you like cool movies with a science fiction element. If you don’t, then you probably aren’t reading this, so why am I wasting my breath. Let’s move on, shall we?
Pandorum: First up, two trailers for a new “in space no one can hear you scream” thriller called “Pandorum”, which stars Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster as astronauts who wake up aboard their ship with no identity of who they are or what awaits them in the ship’s dark, foreboding bowels. The first trailer sells the thriller atmosphere, but the second, newer gone goes for the monsters.
In Pandorum, actors Dennis Quaid (Vantage Point, The Express) and Ben Foster (3:10 to Yuma, Alpha Dog) join Cam Gigandet (Never Back Down, Twilight), Cung Le (Tekken, Fighting), newcomer Antje Traue and director Christian Alvart (Antibodies) to tell the terrifying story of two crew members stranded on a spacecraft who quickly realize they are not alone. Two astronauts awaken in a hyper-sleep chamber aboard a seemingly abandoned spacecraft. It’s pitch black, they are disoriented, and the only sound is a low rumble and creak from the belly of the spacecraft. They can’t remember anything – who are they, what is their mission? The only way out of the chamber is a dark and narrow airshaft. Corporal Bower (Foster), the younger of the two, crawls inside, while the other, Lt. Payton (Quaid), stays behind for guidance on a radio transmitter. As Bower ventures deeper and deeper into the ship, he begins to uncover a terrifying reality. Slowly the spacecraft’s shocking and deadly secrets come unraveled, and the astronauts realize that the survival of mankind hinges on their actions.
Starring Ben Foster, Dennis Quaid, Cam Gigandet, Antje Traue, Cung Le, Eddie Rouse, Norman Reedus, and Wotan Wilke Möhring. Directed by Christian Alvart.

Surrogates: Bruce Willis grows some hair and fights crime. That’s not really the plot of Willis’ latest sci-fi actioner “Surrogates”, but it’s pretty close. The movie is directed by Jonathan Mostow (“T3: Rise of the Machines”) and co-stars Radha Mitchell and Rosamund Pike. Can’t say if this is going to break the bank, but looks like a decent sci-fi actioner.
Set in a futuristic world where humans live in isolation and interact through surrogate robots, a cop (Willis) is forced to leave his home for the first time in years in order to investigate the murders of others’ surrogates.
Starring Bruce Willis, Ving Rhames, Rosamund Pike, Radha Mitchell, Michael Cudlitz, Boris Kodjoe, Valerie Azlynn, and Jack Noseworthy. Jonathan Mostow (”Terminator: Rise of the Machines”) directs.

Iron Sky: Nazis. From outer space. What else do you need to know? Apparently those sneaky bastards snuck off to the moon when we were kicking their ass in 1945, and now, after decades rebuilding their forces, they’re ready to come home and take over again. Let’s hope our ray guns are better than theirs. Wait, we do have ray guns now, right? Oh well.
The Nazis set up a secret base on the moon in 1945 where they hide out and plan to return to power in 2018.
Starring Udo Kier, Julia Dietze, Götz Otto, and Tilo Prückner. Timo Vuorensola directs.

And finally, two TV spots for ABC’s new V TV Series. You remember V from the ’80s, don’t you? Well they’re remaking it as a new TV series. Starring Lost’s Elizabeth Mitchell, Morris Chestnut, and that guy who plays the pilot Wash on Joss Whedon’s Firefly.
