Sean Bean is TNT’s New Legend(s)

Robert Littell's Legends Book CoverWell, at least he won’t die in this one. At least, not for a while, anyway. Who knows after a few seasons, though?

Sean Bean (“Game of Thrones”, “Lord of the Rings”, and a ton of other movies and TV shows where he dies), has signed up to replace Brendan Fraser on TNT’s thriller TV series “Legends”, from “Homeland” and “24” producer/writer Howard Gordon.

In the show, Bean will play Martin Odum, “a deep-cover operative who has an uncanny ability to transform himself into a different person for each job. But his own identity comes into question when a mysterious stranger suggests that Martin isn’t who he thinks he is.”

Bean last appeared on the ABC TV series “Missing”, where he, yes, died in the pilot episode.

“Legends” will be based on the book by Robert Littell.

Fraser was originally set to play Odum, but departed due to creative differences. He better not show up in “Furry Vengeance 2″ next year…

Hmmms. Well hey if he’s the star he can’t die right? Sounds kinda like a schizo Human Target

  • Aegon the Conqueror

That’s what all non book readers thought when they saw Game of Thrones.

Obviously the author of this article didn’t watch very much of “Missing”, because Sean Bean’s character faked his death, and he was very active all through the last part of the series.
