Announced way back in 2009, Travis Zariwny’s sci-fi actioner “Scavengers” is finally seeing the light of day in 2013. Or at least, the trailer for the film is. As for the movie itself, it looks like foreign territories will be first up, with probably a DVD release Stateside later in the year. If we’re lucky, anyway. (And if you happen to be a fan of Sean Patrick Flanery, which I am.)
It actually looks pretty decent for what I’m guessing was a moderately budgeted sci-fi flick. Or at least, the space sequences don’t look like they were done on someone’s old Mac Quadra. (And if you know what an old Mac Quadra looks like without having to Google it, congratulations to you and me.)
A team of space scavengers discovers superior alien technology that threatens the balance of the known universe. Hotly pursued by a rival crew of intergalactic mercenaries, the Revelator crew must fight through the deepest reaches of space to locate and protect the life-altering device.
Also starring John Lee Ames, Roark Critchlow, Jennifer Jalene, Louise Linton, and Jeremy London.
