Second Snazzy Teaser for Wilson Yip’s Ip Man 2

If you’re a fan of Wilson Yip’s 2008 Donnie Yen vehicle “Ip Man”, chances are you’ll be extremely impressed with the second spiffy teaser for the director’s follow-up, the aptly-titled “Ip Man 2″. It’s hard not to like a movie that pits Yen against genre legend Sammo Hung, even if you’re not into stylish, melodramatic fight flicks. And, hopefully, there’s enough footage of Donnie Yen punching people in the face to keep everyone happy.

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at) beyondhollywood.com.

Looks good. I think he said in an interview before they will shoot 2 and 3 back to back to make a trilogy out of this, wonder if that’s still the case. And this should no longer be classified as semi-biographical at this point, haha. Pretty sure Ip Man has never fought any Japanese or foreign boxers.

There will be no trilogy, Donnie has said that there is no need to really do another one so fast and that right now pt2 is really as good as it will get. He spoke of how important it was to leave movies while they are at their best. He really believes p2 has outdone the first and will only consider another a few years down the line if they really masterfully can pull off something great.
