Second Theatrical Trailer for The Smurfs

True story: my nieces and nephews have no idea who the Smurfs are. Not a clue. I think this is because the show just isn’t on TV anymore, or at least, I never see it on TV anymore. So yeah, clean slate for the kids, which should bode well for the movie. Kids will discover it and adults will get their nostalgia on with it. Win-win, right? In any case, if that first theatrical trailer for the movie didn’t sell it for you, here’s a second one. Did it do the job? No? Oh well. Go smurf yourself, then. Ahem.

When the evil wizard Gargamel chases the tiny blue Smurfs out of their village, they tumble from their magical world and into ours — in fact, smack dab in the middle of Central Park. Just three apples high and stuck in the Big Apple, the Smurfs must find a way to get back to their village before Gargamel tracks them down.

Starring Jayma Mays, Neil Patrick Harris, Katy Perry, Sofía Vergara, Anton Yelchin, Hank Azaria, Alan Cumming, B.J. Novak, Paul Reubens, George Lopez, Jonathan Winters, Fred Armisen, Kenan Thompson, John Oliver, Adam Wylie, Jeff Foxworthy and directed by Raja Gosnell.

OH my god it’s worse than I thought it’d be! NPH and the cat are the only things I’d probably find funny. This looks worse than Marmaduke!!!

The old Smurfs episodes air daily on the “Boomerang” network, if you can find it. DirecTV has a preview deal going on right now and it’s one of the channels included in the line-up. (channel 298 on mine)

They did a great job realizing the Smurf village why didn’t they just leave the film in that world. Them coming into the real world is just stupid.

      Sent on the go.
