Set Photos from G.I. Joe are Confusing

To be perfectly honest with you, I don’t know why Snake Eyes is covered up in a plastic black suit from head to toe, with only eye slits to see through. What is the deal with that? Is this how Snake Eyes is going to look throughout the movie? Why? Is he some kind of bubble boy that needs protection from the air? I thought he just wore a uniform like everyone else, not a bloody bubble suit. Anyways, here’s another behind-the-scenes look at the set of Stephen Sommers’ “G.I. Joe”.
Some pics of Ray Park as Snake Eyes and Channing Tatum as Duke. I also don’t have any idea what Duke is wearing. What is that, some kind of Captain Powers power suit?

Are you sure that’s Snake Eyes. I think it’s more likely Destro and they will cgi the metal finish.

You have to remember that snake eyes was disfigured in combat and that why he wears that uniform. As for these images… I don’t get it either. He looks more like a android.

Well, since this is a shot from behind the scenes, I have my money on the fact that he doesn’t have the complete costume on. I wouldn’t be quick to judge the look of the characters and movie from a couple pictures that are not even taken while filming. As for his looking fat, as a photographer, it looks like it is just the odd angle of the shot.
Though as for Duke, I have no idea.
Yep, it’s Snake-Eyes. I’m sure the director will rely on CGI and camera angle to make him look much better than this blackened crash test dummy we see here. Based on these pics, it seems like his costume remains pretty true to the toys and comic series. Snake-Eyes is one of the original Joes from the 1982 Hasbro toy line and the original comics. He and Storm Shadow are an integral part of the entire Joe/Cobra history. Hope they don’t make their characters suck when the movie comes out!!
