Seth Rogen and James Franco Re-Team for North Korean Comedy The Interview

So apparently Seth Rogen is the smart one and James Franco is the dumb one in the upcoming “The Interview,” an upcoming comedy by Rogen and Evan Goldberg. That’s a pretty novel approach. Let’s face it, Rogen, with his goofy facial hair, is usually the joke of every movie. Not so in this case, apparently, where the two play best buddies recruited by the CIA to go kill Kim Jong-un. Hey, beats having to interview airheaded celebrities, right?

Check out the first trailer for “The Interview.” The title will probably throw off people who don’t follow everything Rogen and Franco does. It sounds so serious.

In the action-comedy The Interview, Dave Skylark (James Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) run the popular celebrity tabloid TV show “Skylark Tonight.” When they discover that North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is a fan of the show, they land an interview with him in an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. As Dave and Aaron prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans change when the CIA recruits them, perhaps the two least-qualified men imaginable, to assassinate Kim Jong-un.

Also starring Lizzy Caplan and Randall Park.

In theaters this Fall.
