Looking forward to Bryan Fuller’s “Mockingbird Lane”? Probably not. I mean, NBC has so little faith in the show that they turned the expensive pilot into a TV special and from all indications, plans to speak no more of it after this Friday. But hey, if you were curious to see what the hell Fuller was thinking when he put this thing together, you can check it out tomorrow for yourself. Until then, get to know the rebooted Munsters in seven clips from the upcoming TV special.
“Mockingbird Lane” is a newly reimagined version of the classic 1960s comedy “The Munsters,” now as a visually spectacular one-hour drama with a darker edge and tone.
The cast includes Jerry O’Connell as Herman Munster, Portia de Rossi as his wife Lily, Eddie Izzard as Grandpa, Mason Cook as Eddie and Charity Wakefield as Marilyn. The pilot episode was directed by big-time movie director Bryan Singer.
The Munsters, er, I mean, Mockingbird Lane opens up on NBC October 26th.
