Several Pics and an English-Subtitled Teaser for The Murderer

Back in September, yours truly posted a little article about director Na Hong-jin’s sophomore effort “The Murderer”, a film which appears to be as intense and engaging as the talented filmmaker’s ambitious debut “The Chaser”. Now, thanks to the diligent film fanatics lurking over at Film Smash, a freshly-subtitled version of the trailer is now available for mass consumption. Additionally, a dozen new images from the upcoming feature have been released as well, giving those of us who love South Korean thrillers plenty of nifty content to figuratively feast upon. Lucky us, right?

“The Murderer” will hit theaters in its native land this December.

About Todd Rigney

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at)

Thanks for posting. Between this and “I Saw the Devil” I don’t know which one I am more excited to see. Probably “The Yellow Sea” because “The Chaser” is my favorite all time Korean film and I’m anxious to see Na Hong-jin’s second effort.

is this a sequel to The Chaser?.

No it isn’t. It’s totally different film. But it’s true that there are lots of common with The Chaser in terms of chasing and killing scene. It’s much more cruel and fearsomely bloody.
