Perhaps the most shocking aspect of The Asylum’s upcoming undead epic “Zombie Apocalypse” — which, according to the company, is their biggest production to-date — is that they somehow managed to wrangle veteran actor Ving Rhames for use in their motion picture. Does this mean that The Asylum is moving up in the cinematic world, or, alternatively, could it mean that Rhames is slowly sinking into the direct-to-video mire? Doesn’t matter, really. Rhames in a movie by The Asylum seems like a win-win situation. For me, anyway.
How’s this for an involved plot synopsis:
ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE is an action packed adventure about a band of humans trying to survive a post-apocalyptic world full of flesh-hungry zombies.
Nick Lyon’s “Zombie Apocalypse”, which stars Ving Rhames, Taryn Manning, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Johnny Pacar, and Eddie Steeples, is scheduled to eat your brains this fall.
