Five friends. Five keys. One loft. And one dead body. Uh oh.

That’s the premise of Erik Van Looy’s “Loft”, a Hollywood remake of the 2008 Belgian movie “The Loft” that was also directed by Erik Van Looy. The original was written by Bart De Pauw, with “Cape Fear’s” Wesley Strick taking over in the American remake. So if you’re a fan of the original, you can blame it on the guy who directed the movie you loved for this remake. Quite the dilemma, eh? (FYI: The film was already remade once already by the Dutch in 2010.)

In the film, five married friends (including Karl Urban, Wentworth Miller, James Marsden, and “Modern Family’s” Eric Stonestreet) agree to share a private loft with which to engage in various forms of shenanigans (i.e. have affairs with hot women) away from the prying eyes of their wives. But things go off the rails when the dead body of a woman is found in the loft, handcuffed to the bed. Oops.

“Loft” co-stars Isabel Lucas, Rachael Taylor, Rhona Mitra, and Margarita Levieva as the women in their lives.

Check out a Red Band trailer for the film below. The movie doesn’t have a release date yet.
