Shark Night 3D Adds to its Babe Quotient with McPhee and Paxton

You can add three more actors to David R. Ellis’ upcoming shark movie “Shark Night 3D” — former “American Idol” singer/actress Katharine McPhee, Sara Paxton (“The Last House on the Left”), and some dude name Dustin Milligan.

The trio join recent cast additions Chris Carmack, Alyssa Diaz, Joel David Moore and Sinqua Walls, playing a group of college friends who spend the weekend at a lake house, only to find all sorts of dangerous animals lurking beneath the waters in the area. You know, dangerous animals like sharks. In 3D. Watch out for those teeth!

Obviously this is a movie about killer sharks (in 3D!), so you don’t exactly need mega thespians in your cast. Although it probably helps to have very attractive ladies like Paxton (left) and McPhee (below) running around, preferably in skimpy bikinis. Hey, I’m just saying, know what your audience weants, Ellis.

Shooting on the shark movie is expected to start later this month on location in Louisiana. Ellis is directing for Sierra Pictures and Incentive Filmed Entertainment from a script by Jesse Studenberg and Will Hayes.
