Shocking English Trailer for Shimizu’s The Shock Labyrinth 3D

The Shock Labyrinth (2009) Movie ImageThe boys at UpcomingHorrorMovies have located an English language trailer for “Grudge” mastermind Takashi Shimizu’s upcoming “The Shock Labyrinth” 3D horror movie. It reveals more of the plot and offers up plenty of creepy Japanese girls doing creepy things usually associated with Japanese girls in Japanese horror movies.

One rainy night, Yuki, a girl missing for 10 years, mysteriously appears. Her friends, Ken, Motoki, Rin, and sister Miyu are confused by her sudden return and uneasily welcome her home. Later that same night, Yuki suddenly faints and is rushed by her loyal friends to the hospital. But the hospital they arrive at turns out to be a decayed and terrifying place…a labyrinth. Trapped within the labyrinth, the horror truly begins for the young friends.

The film already opened in Japan last year, so Stateside DVD import shouldn’t be too far behind.

Hmh. For me, the only interesting thing about this is Ai Maeda (horror movies are a waste of her talent, but she seems to like doing them).

Been a huge fan of Asian Horror since “Ringu”. Many great films like “A Tale Of Two Sisters”, “The Eye” 1 and 2, “Ju-on” 1 and 2, “Dark Water”, “Phone”, “Shutter”, “Alone”, “Bunshinsaba”, “Sigaw”, “Epitaph”, “Apartment”, “One Missed Call” trilogy, “Re-cycle”, “Carved The Slit-Mouthed Woman”, “Arang”, “Cello”, “The Red Shoes”, “Wishing Stairs”, “The Maid”, “Premonition” and many others have haunted us. Takashi Shimizu had gotten kind of stale. “Marebito” was boring and “Reincarnation” was o…k. He looks like he is back on the saddle with “The Shock Labyrinth”. It looks awesome!!! Hideo Nakata and the Pang Bros. have gotten stale too. Thailand has kicked out some good ones recently like “4bia”, “Phobia 2″ and “Coming Soon”. I need to see South Korea films “Yoga”, “Possessed”, “Hidden Floor” and “Loner”. “Death Bell” and “Whispering Corridors 5″ were good. “The Shock Labyrinth” seems to be a must-release on blu-ray type of film. “Re-cycle” is awesome on blu-ray. Can’t wait to see “The Shock Labyrinth”.
