Rescuing American citizens from a bunch of Iranian religious nuts takes a lot more than just CIA muscle, according to director/star Ben Affleck’s “Argo”. It apparently takes a fake science fiction movie, cause who doesn’t like Hollywood? Even Iranian religious nuts, apparently. Check out six clips from Affleck’s “Argo”, which is already getting rave reviews from those who have seen it. And from the looks of these clips, it certainly has a great vibe about it. Not too dramatic, not too funny, and just the right amount of tension. Alan Arkin in particular looks like such a Hollywood cliche/reality it’s borderline genius.
Based on true events, Warner Bros. Pictures’ and GK Films’ dramatic thriller “Argo” chronicles the life-or-death covert operation to rescue six Americans, which unfolded behind the scenes of the Iran hostage crisis–the truth of which was unknown by the public for decades.
Also starring Bryan Cranston, Alan Arkin, John Goodman, Kerry Bishé, Kyle Chandler, Rory Cochrane, Christopher Denham, Tate Donovan, Clea DuVall, Victor Garber, Zeljko Ivanek, Richard Kind, Scoot McNairy, Chris Messina, Michael Parks, Taylor Schilling, and directed by Affleck.
