Bond’s latest outing, “Skyfall” doesn’t open in the States until next month, but most of the world have already had their crack at Bond, and they seem to like it. The film has already amassed $77 million from 25 foreign markets over the weekend, surpassing the openings of the first two films in latest Bond actor Daniel Craig’s resume, “Casino Royale” and “Quantum of Solace”.
With that kind of success, it’s no surprise the Powers That Be are already working on two new Bond films — a two-part story about the secret agent not based on anything Bond creator Ian Fleming had written. The two-parter was a pitch from “Gladiator” writer John Logan, who is said to already be hard at work on the two scripts.
If you’re keeping track at home, the Logan scripts would make them the 24th and 25th Bond movies.
Stateside fans will have to wait until November 9th to catch Bond doing what Bond does best, which is look suave while killing bad guys and bedding women. Dude’s my hero.
