Everyone is watching everyone in directors Cho Ui-seok and Kim Byung-seo’s techno thriller “Cold Eyes”. The film is currently scheduled to get its North American debut next month over at TIFF, and you can check out a trailer for it below. Looks slick, but then again, if there’s one thing the South Koreans know how to do, it’s put together a slick crime thriller on a pittance of what it costs Hollywood.
The film stars Jung Woo-sung (“The Good, the Bad, the Weird”), one of the bigger stars of South Korea, as the criminal mastermind. I’m going to go out on a limb and say he’s not who he appears to be. That is, a straight-up bad guy. I could be wrong, of course.
A high-tech police surveillance team attempts to take down a gang of ruthless bank robbers, in this sizzling South Korean action-thriller.
The film stars Seol Kyung-gu, Jung Woo-sung, Han Hyo-joo, Lee Jun-ho, Jin Gyeong, and makes it premiere at TIFF this August 20th.
