Snow White and the Huntsman - Chris Hemsworth as The Huntsman

If you’ve been keeping track of the dueling Snow White projects, then you already know that Tarsem Singh’s since-titled “Mirror Mirror” will be very different from director Rupert Sanders’ “Snow White and the Huntsman”. In particular, “Mirror” will be more family friendly, or at least, a whole lot less bloody than Sander’s, which apparently is going for more of a “Lord of the Rings” feel from everything I’ve seen of it (set images of an armored Kristen Stewart leading a beach battle charge here), including this latest banner poster. Check it out below, won’t you?

In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) who was dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.

Starring Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth, Sam Claflin, Ian McShane, Nick Frost, Toby Jones, Ray Winstone, Dave Legeno, Edgar Wright, Lily Cole, Stephen Graham, Bob Hoskins, and Eddie Marsan.

Snow White leads the charge June 1, 2012.
