South Korean Thriller Miss Conspirator Snags a New Teaser, Poster

File this one under “I’d Hate This Thing if it Starred Katherine Heigl”. The whole “adorable female versus the mob” sounds like a recipe for meet-cutes and embarrassingly cheesy hijinks. And while I can’t say for sure that director Jung Bum-Sik’s “Miss Conspirator” won’t contain any of the aforementioned elements, I’m willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. Hey, if that makes me a hypocrite, I’m totally down with that. Isn’t the first time, won’t be the last.

Before proceeding, have a look at this synopsis:

A woman, who suffers from panic disorders, throws aways drugs without know they were drugs. She then searches for the drugs with a mysterious man. Meanwhile, detectives go after the mob.

Ko Hyun-Jung, Yu Hae-Jin, Ko Chang-Seok, Sung Dong-Il, Lee Mun-Shik, and Park Shin-Yang have all have parts to play in “Miss Conspirator”, which opens in South Korea this June. Here’s hoping these performances aren’t just rancid ingredients in the undercooked crow I’ll have to eat if this thing is completely unwatchable. The latest trailer has been embedded below.

Author: Todd Rigney

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at)
