Though it kinda looks like his old traditional comic book suit to me, but what do I know, the last time I picked up a “Spider-Man” comic book he didn’t have 10 titles, 50 clones of him running around, a wife, a dog, and 5 kids.

Here’s your first look at the new duds that Spidey will be sporting in Marc Webb’s currently in-production “The Amazing Spider-Man 2″. I was hoping they might end up calling the sequel “The Spectacular Spider-Man” or “The Super Duper Spidey-Guy is Back”, but it appears they’re just going with the kinda plain “The Amazing Spider-Man 2″. Hey, I guess it worked for “Iron Man”…

In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) finds, life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

“Spider-Man 2″ stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Shailene Woodley, Sally Field, Felicity Jones, Paul Giamatti, Martin Sheen, Dane DeHaan, Colm Feore, and slings back into theaters next year on May 2, 2014.

doesnt look new cept for the new eye shape. are they gonna keep the old changes to the waistline like last time? and are the spider legs still really long beyond his waistline? which looked stupid and awful btw

update: i just noticed the spider legs are still extra long and dumb

The spider legs go to his waistline, and I don’t even think they went all the way down to it then. I liked the news suit once I saw it in action. It still gave the same basic look, but was different enough to seperate it from the Raimi films, and had a next generation look to it, not as if it was designed in the 60’s. This one seems to move closer to the original comic version with some small tweaks. It’s like a cross between the Raimi and Amazing suit. Need to see more though. Kinda sad they changed textures though.

    I like it!

Love it, perfect mix of both suits, and really happy we have the big eyes… Though, i wish they kept the bright red and bright blue from the suit in TASM…

Eyes look better on the old suit.
