Ol Spidey’s got his hands full in a new, extended 4-minute trailer for Marc Webb’s “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” which features the Arachnid Knight battling not one, not two, but three supervillains. Which is pretty novel. Usually franchises wait until the third or fourth movie to crank up the villain count, but nope, Webb and company are doing it in the second movie. I guess it makes sense, given their Sinister Six ambitions. As the name probably implies — yes, Spidey will be battling six bad guys at the same time pretty soon. Yikes.
Check out the recently released “sizzle” trailer below. Oh, Spidey, if not for Emma Stone, I wouldn’t want to be in your tights right about now. (Wait, that sounded kinda wrong…)
It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.
Starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Campbell Scott, Embeth Davidtz, Colm Feore, with Paul Giamatti and Sally Field.
Too many bad guys this May 2, 2014.
Also, here are the two Super Bowl TV spots. Not sure if there are any actual new footage here, but hey, watch it anyway if you got the time:
