Spielberg is “Gearing Up” Indiana Jones 5?
Indiana Jones 5 Movie — By Nix on June 16, 2009
Yessirree, according to wunderkind actor Shia LaBeouf, whose name I have just about developed the ability to type without having to make sure I didn’t misspell his last name. Just about. I say another 50 or so stories about the kid and I should have it down pat. Anyhoo, according to the “Transformers 2″ star, who was across the pond doing the promo rounds for his latest robot movie, before leaving the States he got a call from Steven Spielberg, who informed him that he had “cracked the story” on yet another “Indiana Jones” sequel. Which would be the fifth installment, in case you’re not keeping track.
Says LaBeouf (via Zap2it):
“Steven (Spielberg) just said he cracked the story on it before I left, and I think they’re gearing that up,” LaBeouf says in the interview.
Wow, it must be nice to get calls from “Steven”. But I digress.
So, according to LaBeouf, Spielberg is not only insistent on doing “Indiana Jones 5″, but he’s apparently cracked the story to get the ball rolling. Which means he’s been thinking about it for awhile, despite less than spectacular fan and critical reaction to the last one, “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”.
Wait, you wanted an Indy 5, didn’t you?
Below: “Faster, Shia, faster! I’m not getting any younger, you know.”
