I just saw the movie tonight. I found it to be very good I sat through it spell bound. I am of African descent and sat with a mostly Caucasian audience including my husband and girl friend. It is quite interesting the negative feedback I got from a white stranger as we were leaving something that had a tone of resentlment. Following the end of the film the audiance were silent. I commented loud enough for others to hear go Spike!. That' when the woman said there he is pointing to his poster. I am proud of Spike's vision and tenacity to set the record straight about our African soldiers who have been fighting wars and still are treated as less than. What really gets me is the reaction of some Caucasians who seem not to want to accept that we have something to be angry about. They don't need to feel quilty about what their ancestors have done, just try to be empathic. And don't be angry with our African artists that will use their artistry to tell it like it is. Much to my dissappointment my husband commented on how was it that a postal worker had a german luga at his work station. Well I feel Caucasians are people are more critical of African artistry than compared to their own work about their history. Well get used to it. We have to learn to dialogue, sit with the pain and move on. Go Spike Lee!!!

Photos of the group appeared with Spike Lee at the end of shooting shot yesterday in Gioviano along the Serchio Valley, for the filming of Miracle awaited films at Sant Anna, on Nazi massacre of 12 August 1944.
