Stallone Changes his Mind on Rambo 5’s Plot

Rambo 5: The Savage Hunt Movie — By Nix on November 13, 2009

Well color me fancy and smack my booty. Now this is what I’m talking about. Remember two months ago when Stallone himself seemed to confirm that “Rambo 5″ wouldn’t be taking Rambo to the Mexico-U.S. border to take on some bad dudes as we had heard, but would instead go all sci-fi on us by taking Rambo up north to hunt some Government creature, the result of an experiment gone bad? Well apparently Stallone has changed his mind. He emailed this message to the boys at StalloneZone:

Hi Craig,

This is from Sly to your followers:

To all the loyal SZoners out there,

I’m letting you know that Rambo has changed course and the story about hunting the man/beast will be done using another character in the lead. RAMBO himself will be heading over the border to a violent city where many young women have vanished .

There will be blood.

Best,
Sly Stallone

So bye-bye shitty generic sci-fi movie about an experiment gone wrong (at least for now), and hello to the down and gritty badass Rambo taking on real-life-ish bad guys that we were hoping for in the first place. What Stallone wrote above doesn’t in the least discount the plot for the movie we’ve heard previously, where Rambo goes after Mexican drug cartels along the Mexico-U.S. border who have absconded with a girl dear to his heart.

And of course, for those of you who thought it was a good idea for Rambo to go hunting a genetic experiment in the woods, Stallone apparently still plans to do that movie, but outside of the Rambo franchise.

Dude, did you hear? Rambo might be coming down here. Sha-weet.

Oooohh Good cause that plot was sooooo much better than the Man/beast plot. I am being serious no sarcasm. It just sounded more like a Rambo plot to begin with. With all the attrocities he’s seen in Vietnam, and Burma and all yeah this is right up his alley. Especially if it happens soon after he returns home after “RAMBO.” It’d be perfect with him getting to be a part of the community again, some people dislike him remmebering what happened, others understood what happened and support him now that he’s home. The daughter of an old friend disappears when a group of guys comes through town. Following that lead and pledging to save the young lady John Rambo goes across the border to stop this human trafficking ring that has made the fatal mistake of coming to his home.

Rambo was too violent, sometimes I thought they used real people who are criminals and killed them in the movie O_o

I think SZoner (cool fanname:P) is trying to make Rambo more realistic rather than an all out action man hero, how the previous ones were. How Rambo could take out an entire army base.
But he’s trying to make it more realistic, how a 1 man army can take out an entire base.

I think the next Rambo shoud be when he retuns home to find his dad in family in need of a hero. Because the family has be threaten harrassed and sometime even assulted, because a new land developer is using mercinaries to do his dirty work in closing downs farms in order to build this big housing project that would make him wealthier than any housing developer. Because it will be his town with malls to shop in and a university as well. But he did not count on Rambo coming home to shut down this project. Something to that affect.
