Stallone Sorta Talks Rambo 5

Rambo 5: The Savage Hunt Movie — By Nix on January 30, 2009

You gotta give Sylvester Stallone his due: the man knows a good thing when he sees it. Back when no one wanted to make another Rambo or Rocky movie, Stallone was out there plugging away, trying to get both made. And when he succeeded, and the box office numbers came in, he was proven right. We learned a while back that Stallone intends to make yet another installment in the Rambo franchise, the fifth, and that he had decided to bring the Vietnam vet back home, which would seem like a natural progression given the ending of the fourth Rambo movie. Or will he?

Here’s what Stallone told Extra:

Stallone broke the news to “Extra” about the latest Rambo film, saying, “Yeah, we are doing another ‘Rambo,’ but the conflict is whether to do it in America or a foreign country.”

Sounds like whoever interviewed Stallone doesn’t understand what “follow through question” means, so we’re left wondering what Stallone means by “conflict”. Is he talking about where to set the movie, or where to shoot it? Obviously, shooting the movie in a foreign country (Bulgaria, last we heard) would be much cheaper than shooting in the States.

A part of me hopes Stallone changes his mind and not do the sequel at all, but another part of me says if the man wants to do it, then damn, let the man do it. Who are we to stand in the way of another Rambo movie? I’d watch it.

    They shouldn’t make another one:/

Number 4 ended in a good way, I mean, he finally has a reason to go back home.
Although there is always war calling him.

    Another movie wouldn’t hurt.

But I didn’t like number 4 that much, Rambo spent the whole in the gun turrent O_o
2 and 3 were the best.
