Holy fancy pants, Batman! Check out what Paramount is doing with movie posters nowadays. It’s called “Cinemosaic”, a combination of cinema and mosaic, I presume. (I could be wrong, of course. It’s been known to happen.) What’s next, Hollywood, movie posters that can talk back to you? Do your homework? Possibly walk your dog? Bring your dead grandma back from beyond? Hmm, maybe that last one would be kinda cool…

Anyhoo. Check out a couple of scenes from J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek Into Darkness” played out as a “poster.” Welcome to the future of movie advertising, kids. Or somethin’.

When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

“Star Trek Into Darkness” stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Alice Eve, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, Peter Weller, and Bruce Greenwood as they all gang up to fight Benedict Cumberbatch. Dude is so tough and badass you need ALL those other guys just to battle him. Now that’s tough and badass!

Trekkin’ into theaters this May 17, 2013.
