Apparently movie studios are officially promoting “International” movie trailers to domestic audiences now. Hunh. That’s a new one. Anyways, here’s the latest, new International trailer for J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek Into Darkness”, which is filled with action, revenge-taking and vengeance-seeking and Benedict Cumberbatch just being a total tool. This guy is super mean, too.
It almost looks more like a straight-up action movie than a real “Star Trek” movie. I honestly don’t recall any of the previous “Trek” movies ever being this action-packed. Abrams’ two “Star Trek” movies certainly have almost zero resemblance to the TV shows, that’s for sure.
When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.
Starring hris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Alice Eve, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, Peter Weller, Bruce Greenwood, and Benedict Cumberbatch.
Launching this May 17, 2013.
