What, another “Star Trek Into Darkness” trailer already? Yes, because this is the official teaser trailer. As you’ll recall, the previous trailer was the Announcement trailer. Hey, it beats a teaser trailer for the teaser trailer released over a week long period, okay? So let’s not look a gift horse in the mouth. Moving on…
So here’s the full teaser trailer for “Star Trek Into Darkness” from director J.J. Abrams. It’s almost two minutes long (the previous trailer was around one), and starts with (I believe) voiceover by Bruce Greenwood about Kirk being, well, too Kirk-y, then switches over to voiceover by a menacing Benedict Cumberbatch. Good stuff, good stuff.
When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.
Starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Alice Eve, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, Peter Weller, and Bruce Greenwood. With Benedict Cumberbatch as the villain.
Trekking to safety May 17, 2013.
